On 18th May 2026 Liz Brown stepped down from her role as Partner & Geotechnical Lead at CampbellReith. Liz will continue to contribute to the geotechnical team with a consultant position on a part time basis and Tom Samson will lead the geotechnical team.
Liz joined CampbellReith in 1999 as our only geotechnical engineer, creating a team around her. Since then, Liz has led the development and technical delivery of an award‑winning geotechnical team and provided inputs across a multitude of major private and public‑sector projects.
She led an initiative to nurture collaboration between the AGS and the IStructE, has taken part in judging the Ground Engineering Awards, Women in Construction and Engineering and Women in Property student awards, and is a registered mentor. In 2024 Liz was named as one of the top 20 women in ground engineering, recognising her contributions across the profession, her mentoring and advocacy for diversity in engineering.
