Contributing to CL:AIRE’s professional research in Contaminated Land

6 December 2016

Following invitation by the technical project team at CL:AIRE (Contaminated Land: Applications in Real Environments) CampbellReith’s Associate Simon Burr has joined their Technology and Research Group (TRG).

CL:AIRE is a respected independent not-for-profit organisation and CampbellReith is a Supporting Member.  It was established to stimulate the regeneration of contaminated land in the UK and now supports a number of industry initiatives, for example, sustainable remediation and asbestos in soil. In addition, it has helped develop more efficient regulation initiatives, such as the Definition of Waste Code of Practice for development projects and the emerging National Quality Mark Scheme.

The TRG is an advisory group made up of leading industry professionals who support CL:AIRE on technology development issues and provide guidance on issues relating to the sustainable reuse of land. One of the TRG’s most significant roles is reviewing and offering detailed evaluation of project and publication submissions, particularly in terms of the scientific validity of the application.

CampbellReith is proud of having Simon Burr as part of the in-house team of environmental specialists, who provide a highly valuable service. See Simon’s profile here.
