Salary: £30-40,000 per annum depending on experience.

Opportunity

Our Land Quality team is responsible for the provision of solutions for land contamination issues that typically arise during site redevelopment. This includes acting as the lead discipline for complex remediation projects and supporting our wider engineering teams.

Role

Working as part of a team, and reporting to our Land Quality Associate, you will assist in the preparation of land quality (contaminated land) assessments across a wide variety of schemes.

The successful applicant will be working within the Land Quality team with frequent interface with related in-house engineering teams (geotechnical, civil, structural, Development Planning, GIS and transport).

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious team player to work within an award winning multi-disciplinary practice focused on innovation and client delivery.

Key Skills and Experience

The candidate should have the following relevant:

Technical experience:

  • preparation of Stage 1-3 contaminated land assessments
  • specification and management of ground investigations 
  • technical project management

Key Experience:

  • working within environmental consultancy
  • working with external clients and agencies

Key Skills:

  • strong data management, numeracy and report writing skills
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • commercial and client focused approach
  • strong commitment to continuous professional development
  • interested in developing and adding value to an SME
  • experience of Excel, Microsoft access, e-learning platforms

Education

  • Educated to A level or equivalent
  • Relevant BSc and MSc (e.g. Environment Sciences)
  • Graduate membership of relevant professional institute

or equivalent (Qualified by Experience)
