Planning approval obtained for 248 homes at Isleport Lane, Highbridge, Somerset

Sedgemoor District Council has granted outline planning permission for a new housing development in Highbridge, Somerset.

We are delighted to announce that Sedgemoor District Council has granted outline planning permission to Bickenhall Consulting Limited for a new housing development in Highbridge, Somerset.

The proposed scheme comprises 248 homes on a 31-acre site at Isleport Lane, Highbridge, which includes a mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes, 30% affordable housing, public services such as a community hub (with the potential for a local shop and family play areas), and public open space with enhanced ecology, hedges and tree planting.

CampbellReith has worked closely with Bickenhall Consulting Limited, and Planners – Smith Jenkins since 2016. The team have worked assisting in the land promotion and reallocation of the site in the Local Development Plan for residential use, and pushing this challenging site forward during the masterplan development stage and submission of the Outline Planning Application.

Nick Jenkins, Director of Smith Jenkins, acted on behalf of the landowner and developer working closely alongside tp bennett, CampbellReith, and the wider technical team to submit the application and achieve planning permission.
