CampbellReith is delighted that the Council of Isles of Scilly, has granted planning permission for 12 affordable detached and semi-detached self-build homes at Ennor Farm, Old Town, St Mary’s. These will be serviced plots to meet the demand for this type of house building on the Isles of Scilly and will be guided by design principles in the form of a Design Code and subsequently, plot passports.
Under the direction of CIOS’s Housing Delivery Team and working collaboratively with Owen Beynon of ALA Architects, Andrew Chaplin of KTA Architects, with CampbellReith, led by Tristan Tucker, providing the engineering, infrastructure and transport advice alongside Rachel Roberts from The Environment Partnership providing ecology and arboricultural inputs, submitted the outline application and achieved planning consent for the proposed affordable housing scheme. With land ownership and planning consent secured, it is understood CIOS are able to pursue government funding opportunities open to local authorities to deliver the serviced plots.
