Creating Exciting Regional Opportunities For Growth In Ground Engineering – South West

29 September 2020

Despite the challenging environment we face, our practice continues to see increasing demand for geotechnical and geo-environmental skills in Bristol and across the UK. Throughout the pandemic, we have delivered on some fantastic projects due to the opportunities for new developments.

Given such demand and a healthy pipeline of opportunities, one of our talented Associates, Josh Chastney, has relocated to launch a geotechnical department in our Bristol office. He will sit alongside the geo-environmental, civil and structural teams and will bring regional focus to our ground engineering capabilities.

Josh has been with CampbellReith since 2014, working from both our London and Surrey offices on projects across the UK.

“Having grown up in Bristol and knowing the area so well, I seized every opportunity to work on projects in the south west and always planned to return to my home town when the ideal opportunity arose. Bristol and the south west is an exciting development ground and we will see more ground engineering projects coming to the fore.” Josh Chastney, Associate, CampbellReith

Josh’s experience spans the whole remit of ground engineering after working on some of our most complex schemes. Josh and his new team have the capacity and experience to work from high level concept stage discussions through site appraisals and mapping to design and site supervision.

Josh has developed a particular expertise in geotechnical design, ground stabilisation and ground improvement with projects delivered across multiple sectors including infrastructure and highways, residential housing, education and healthcare both within the UK and abroad.

With the full support of the growing Bristol office, our geotechnical Partner Dr Adam Fisher, who previously spent 18 years studying and working in Bristol comments “We are truly very excited to have a regional ground engineering presence in Bristol and the wider south west of England. We are delighted that Josh will be at the helm, leading the team. His hard work, commitment and talent alongside CampbellReith’s drive to grow the ground engineering division are a fantastic combination for continued success”.
