Celebrating the British Science Week

11 March 2016

11 March 2016

British Science Week starts today to encourage everyone to “get stuck into” science and to celebrate the latest and future scientific achievements. Ahead are ten days of special exhibitions in museums, activities for families and schools and much more.

Until 20 March, hundreds of activities and events have been organised and will be taking place in all cities in the UK, such as the Bat Week in the UCL’s Grant Museum of Zoology in London, the Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Fair in Birmingham or the “Science is Fun” event for children in Manchester.

UCLH will be hosting a behind the scenes visit on Tuesday 15 March to see how their Proton Beam Therapy Centre, one of CampbellReith’s major projects, is being built and to explain how this amazing technology can improve cancer care. This “Behind the Scenes” visit is specially aimed at secondary school students and joining is free, although booking is required. Click here for more information.

As part of the celebration, CampbellReith will be present tomorrow, Saturday 12 March, in the Innovative Guildford, a Science & Arts Festival targeted at 14-21 year olds.
