Meet the team

Samantha Broughton

Associate

In 2007, I joined CampbellReith as a Graduate Environmental Scientist after completing my Msc in Environmental Monitoring and Analysis.

I became involved in a wide variety of project work and have been responsible for the design and implementation of contaminated land investigation and risk assessments, remediation, verification reporting, waste classification and the production of materials management plans.

During my time at CampbellReith, I have been involved with a diverse range of sites, from small homes to large residential estates, commercial properties to industrial units – as well as the occasional landfill. Every site is different, and I enjoy the challenges they present. The diversity of my work helped me achieve Chartered Scientist status in 2017.

I am passionate about helping others learn, and I enjoy passing on my knowledge and experience to both colleagues and clients alike. I was recently involved in the CIRIA steering group for a publication designed to assist in the development and management of small brownfield sites.

Sustainability is something that I am very interested in – particularly the reuse of materials and I am a Qualified Person for the Definition of Waste Code of Practice.

Outside of engineering

I am passionate about photography and music, and I’m a keen runner and contemporary dancer. I also spend a lot of time trying not to kill my houseplants.
