Marc Ricks


A Chartered Structural Engineer with over 13 years’ experience across industry sectors, Marc has been involved in the successful delivery of a varied selection of projects.


Marc joined CampbellReith in 2007 and has led project teams for all phases of project development covering most construction sectors including Residential, Commercial, Retail, Hotels and Restaurants, Healthcare, Temporary Structures and Events. Marc’s enthusiasm and leadership skills were rewarded with a promotion to Associate in 2015.


In addition to his leading project and design role Marc is also a key member of the team responsible for the day to day management of the Surrey office Structural department and a member of our Engineering Executive Committee.


Marc has been responsible for the design of a wide variety of projects at Earls Court Exhibition Centre. From the checking of temporary structures for events to the design of a new multi‐storey car park/vehicle marshalling facility. Marc is the Project Manager for our commission with Capital and Counties to oversee and provide independent advice for the demolition of Earls Court 1 and 2.  He has assisted the demolition team in gaining preliminary approvals from LUL and NWR.


Marc also led the design of Zenith House, a £45 million residential development in Colindale on a one hectare brownfield site.  This development for Genesis Housing Group comprises 309 residential units and 3,000 m² commercial space arranged in 6 ‐ 8 storey mansion blocks with a 16 storey tower. The post tensioned concrete frame superstructure sits above a 225 space basement car park.


He was responsible for the design and delivery of ‘Rocksalt’ Fish Restaurant in Folkestone harbour.  This required reclaiming a corner of the harbour and provision of a new quay wall designed for wave impact adjacent to the railway. The design and construction earned the team the ACE Engineering Excellence Award 2012.
