Geotechnical strategy captured through rain and shine!

We took the opportunity to capture the hard work and dedication of our geotechnical team through an engaging time-lapse video.

Often the geotechnical input that goes into the construction of infrastructure is forgotten about once the above ground structures and pavements are in place. We took the opportunity to capture the hard work and dedication of our geotechnical team through an engaging time-lapse video. The video also shows a couple of flood events caused by the extremely wet winter we have had!

The work at this early stage helps the team to obtain the necessary samples for laboratory testing and to produce the logs required for the geotechnical design of a highway bridge. The laboratory test results are currently being reviewed and following receipt of the results, CampbellReith will produce an Interpretive Geotechnical Report and a Phase 2 Geo-environmental assessment. Together these outputs will provide recommendations for foundations, ground improvement, excavations, dewatering, pavements, chemical attack on concrete, drainage and contamination.

CampbellReith designed, procured and managed the ground investigation for this extensive scheme, undertaken by Strata Geotechnics for CampbellReith’s client Homes England.
