Alan Poulton

Alan was employed by CampbellReith as an undergraduate structural engineer between July 1988 – August 1989 and upon graduating in 1990 he rejoined CampbellReith as a project engineer. He became a chartered member of the Institution of Structural Engineers in 1996 and was promoted to the position of Partner in 2006.


Alan is currently responsible for the day to day management and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects within the Surrey office and his project experience covers a wide variety of construction types and contract forms, the latter including both design and build and partnering.


Alan’s recent projects include: environmental (EIA), transportation and engineering services in support of a new planning application for a retail and leisure development adjacent to the Nene Valley SSSI/ SPA/ Ramsar and the A45 trunk road; environmental, civil, transportation, geotechnical and structural engineering services for the Rushden Parks and Lakes 12.5 Ha retail and leisure development of a brownfield site in Northamptonshire.


Alan was team leader for the landmark £30m Centre of Excellence training and educational scheme for Ford/local authority consortia in Dagenham.
