Meet the team

Alan Poulton

Partner

I was employed by CampbellReith as an undergraduate structural engineer between July 1988 – August 1989 and upon graduating in 1990 I rejoined CampbellReith. I became a chartered member of the Institution of Structural Engineers in 1996 and was promoted to the position of Partner in 2006.

I am currently responsible for the day to day management and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects.  These range from technical due diligence assessments to inform site purchases to the delivery of complex residential, commercial and retail developments. My project experience includes the preparation of planning applications and all supporting documentation, feasibility assessments, detailed design and Contract Administration services, in relation to a wide variety of construction types and contract forms, the latter including both design and build and partnering.

I particularly enjoy analysing development sites and their constraints to determine how they can be developed to meet clients’ briefs and objectives in holistically sustainable ways that create high quality and lasting developments which will be enjoyed by their occupants and visitors throughout their design lives.  Outside of engineering I enjoy cycling, walking and dinners with friends and family.
