Abener is an Associate at CampbellReith and joined the partnership in July 2007 as a Senior Engineer. He has extensive experience spread over more than 15 years in the design, assessment and detailing of structures in all the major construction materials in the UK.
Abener has been responsible for the design and delivery of technically challenging new build and refurbishment projects in the commercial, healthcare, industrial and residential sectors. He has recently worked on a £20m CAT A and subsequent CAT B refurbishment, with major structural alteration of an existing office building in Bedfont Lakes Business Park. As part of this, he designed and detailed structural alterations for the safe removal of up to 12 existing internal columns to achieve the Architectural aspiration, to create an open plan office space. Currently, his role includes the design of the sub-structure to UCLH, Proton Beam Therapy facility, which is a complex, with 5 storey deep basement.
He is also part of the management team in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Committee in the London office.
Abener enjoys doing volunteer work with charities and travelling.
