My interest in engineering began at a young age, largely inspired by my Dad, who was also an engineer. What stood out to me most was seeing the lasting impact of his work – once a project was completed, the structure remained there for everyone to see for many years. That stayed with me and inspired me to pursue a career where I could contribute to something tangible, lasting and be proud of the role I played in shaping the built environment.

After graduating from university, I started working for a surface water management and drainage manufacturer as a Design Services Technician. It was a good introduction into drainage however I wanted to work more as a traditional civil engineer. So, I moved to Milton Keynes and worked at a consultancy for 3.5 years. There I was able to get involved and develop in many different aspects of civils design and spent some time out on site.

Outside of Engineering

Outside of work I like to watch and play sports. I also like to travel as much as I can.
