After several years in the structural steelwork industry, I joined CampbellReith as a project engineer in 1995. Since then, I have played a key role in delivering complex engineering projects across the UK and internationally, working alongside leading clients, architects and construction teams.
As a structural and civil engineer, I have led the delivery of schemes across a diverse range of sectors, including commercial offices, regeneration and major public sector developments. While my principal focus has been in the healthcare and science sectors, working with organisations such as Barts Health, UCLH, The Royal Marsden Hospital and the National Physical Laboratory, I am currently supporting projects within the Higher Education and Defence sectors alongside my healthcare portfolio.
As a Project Partner, I provide strategic oversight and hands-on leadership to multi-disciplinary teams delivering architecturally ambitious refurbishment and new-build schemes. Many of these projects involve deep basements, technically complex structures and constrained urban sites. One of the most significant schemes I have contributed to so far was the 30m-deep basement constructed to house the particle accelerator and treatment gantries for the Proton Beam Therapy Centre constructed as part of UCLH’s Grafton Way building near Tottenham Court Road.
I value quality architecture and collaborative working, developing creative engineering solutions that support design intent while managing risk, programme and cost certainty. I remain closely involved throughout design development and construction, providing clients with a consistent point of contact and confidence that projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
