Opportunity

In 2023, CampbellReith was named Ground Engineering Geotechnical Consulting Firm of the Year and we now have an opportunity for a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join our team and help further develop our geotechnical services.

You will be joining an independent award winning multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a reputation for innovative and sustainable design. We actively support the profession, collaborating with the AGS, the IStructE and Ground Engineering magazine to further geotechnical knowledge across the industry.

We have a diverse and dynamic team of experienced geotechnical engineers who will guide and mentor you in the development of your career in ground engineering, and you will have access to all the key geotechnical software packages required to provide the best advice.

Role

CampbellReith is looking for a highly motivated Graduate Geotechnical Engineer, ready to start out on their career by becoming involved in our current projects and helping further develop our skills and client base.

You will gain experience in the design and management of ground investigations, the preparation of ground models, geotechnical design and modelling including foundations, earthworks, retaining walls and slopes, and the provision of geotechnical advice to clients and colleagues. You will gain experience in the preparation and review of Ground Movement Assessments, specialist contractor’s submissions and site supervision.

We are currently working in a wide range of sectors across the UK, including healthcare and education, affordable housing, specialist geotechnical design, the regeneration of brownfield sites and complex city centre developments. Projects are varied, with values ranging from £1m to more than £250m.

Key Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in civil engineering, engineering geology or an MSc in a ground engineering discipline. Structural engineering and geology degrees with a strong focus on geotechnical engineering will also be considered.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • An aptitude for the use of geotechnical software.
  • A UK driving licence.
