University Hospital Lewisham is an acute district general hospital run by Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and serving the London Borough of Lewisham. It is now affiliated with King’s College London.
The project consisted in the reorganisation of the Hospital Masterplan (Phase 3) involving demolition of a number of buildings whilst maintaining the structure and services capability of the existing Hospital Street.
CampbellReith provided civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering advice and design services for the project, under a single appointment by Lewisham Hospital NHS Trust.
The project involved design of ancillary structures to create new access routes. As part of the project, the land occupied by the demolished building was converted into a car parking for a temporary period, whilst plans for future use of the land were being finalised.
