EIA Practitioner

CampbellReith is looking for an EIA Practitioner to work in our Redhill office.

We have an opportunity, based in Redhill, to join our Environment team working principally on Environmental Impact Assessments for a range of project types, predominantly on sites within England.  Working as part of a team and reporting to our Environment Partners, you will be expected to fulfil an EIA coordination and preparation role, including all stages of the EIA process; particularly EIA Screening, Scoping and drafting of ES chapters.  The role will also require direct engagement with specialist consultancies as part of wider project teams.  In addition to a growing body of EIA project work, there will be opportunities for a wide range of multi-disciplinary project involvement, including Technical Due Diligence Assessments and Sustainability Appraisals.  This is an excellent opportunity to work within an award winning multi-disciplinary practice focused on innovation and client delivery.

Key skills

The candidate should be able to demonstrate relevant previous practitioner experience in the preparation of EIAs and experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of consultants.  Good practitioner understanding of the range of technical topics commonly included within EIAs and the ability to undertake appropriate technical review in an EIA context will be preferable.

Personal attributes

  • Post-graduate educated, preferably with an Environmental Impact Assessment qualification;
  • Appropriate membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA or IES) is beneficial;
  • Numerate with strong technical review and report writing skills;
  • Commercial and client focused approach;
  • Commitment to Continuous Professional Development;
  • A highly motivated, ambitious team player with good communication skills.
