I joined the Practice in 1999 as a junior draughtsman on CampbellReith’s apprenticeship scheme. Through company sponsorship I graduated from University College London in 2004 and progressed within the company, becoming Chartered with the IStructE and promoted to Associate in 2015.
As an Associate, I am responsible for managing the projects assigned to me and managing the multi-disciplinary teams. Over the years I have gained experience in a number of sectors; arts & events, commercial, education, healthcare, hotels & hospitality and residential. These projects have been both private and publically funded and involved a combination of both traditional and Design and Build contracts.
My major projects include the $175m Ghana Hospitals Scheme, £43m East Surrey College, £32m Bracknell College, £15m Olympia West Hall Exhibition Hall, £10m James Terry Court Care Home, £25m Stead Street and £6m Priory Quarter Phase 3 Offices.
Outside of engineering
Outside of the office, to get away from computers and mobile phones, I enjoy escaping into the surrey countryside or further afield on my road bike. Another escape, requiring total focus is out on the River Thames as part of a rowing crew. I am not quite ready for Henley, yet!
