During the last 8 months of university, I landed a role at a Geotechnical Consultancy as an engineering geologist. This role involved me supervising technicians, site operatives, working alongside other organisations and clients. In addition, I carried out and consulted on ground investigations.
When I was younger, I would spend every Wednesday evening watching Grand Designs on TV. I will always remember the wacky shaped green roofs; malfunctioning wind turbines and varying initiatives homeowners would undertake to tackle climate issues. This inspired my choice of degree and led me to focus my dissertation on Green Infrastructure. Being a civil engineer at CampbellReith is one step closer to achieving my dream of designing environmental solutions for developments.
I love sports and participate in many different sporting activities such as hockey, football, table tennis, and go karting. As well as this, I enjoy other recreational activities such as chess and hiking. These all challenge me in different ways, bolstering my ability to work as part of a team, as well as individually. They encourage me to employ critical thinking skills, or in the case of go-karting, give me the confidence and intuition to take a corner at 50mph. These pastimes provide me with freedom and a rewarding sense of achievement.
Other people would describe me as a persistent, driven worker with friendly and confident people skills.
