Meet the team

Alison Fletcher

I started off at CampbellReith as a junior CAD technician in 2005 in my gap year before going to university to study architecture. It turns out that CampbellReith captured more of my interest than I was anticipating! The industry was moving from 2D CAD drawings to 3D at an incredibly fast pace and I just had to stay along for the ride. I have been here ever since and seen the complete change from 2D to full digital twins in the BIM environment and been exposed to some very geometrically challenging projects.

I have always had a keen interest in 3D since I was a child, often making sculptures, drawing 3D pictures and experimenting with 3D modelling using different software packages. My father is a structural engineer so I have been brought up to appreciate the built world around us.

My main role is as one of two BIM leads within the firm, where I am fully involved in the management of CampbellReith’s standards, ensuring we meet client and industry expectations whilst overseeing the structural, civils and geotechnicial deliverables. I also get heavily involved in a number of projects with structures being my main focus, but also enjoy combining multiple disciplines together to produce a full clash free model. My most recent project being a landslip in Dorking where the existing house and foundations, the existing soil nails, proposed soil nails, proposed piles, drainage routes and 3D topographical surface of the existing and post landslip were all modelled to ensure elements were completely clash free.

Outside of engineering

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband and two girls. I have started to dabble in tennis and enjoy going to gigs when I get the chance.
