With 30 years’ engineering experience, Mark is one of the Partners at CampbellReith.
He began his career with Ove Arup and Partners in 1974 working on a wide range of commercial, retail, education and health projects. In 1979 he joined CampbellReith. He then opened the London Office of the practice in 1987, becoming a Partner in 1988.
Mark has undertaken numerous major commercial developments in the City of London and the West End working with private developers and institution clients. His specialist expertise includes deep basements, complex city centre sites and long span structures.
In addition to new build, Mark has undertaken many heavy refurbishment and extensions of existing buildings requiring detailed assessment of the existing structure and justifying increased loading.
Mark has been responsible for a number of major projects for the arts, residential and retail sectors. He acted as expert witness to Aviva in respect of the effects of the proposed Crossrail works on their portfolio of London buildings.
Mark received the IStructE Murray Buxton award for a paper on retained façade projects.
An advocate of hands on management of projects, Mark has the ability to provide high quality innovative designs with an economic edge which has resulted in a succession of repeat commissions from clients.
