Joseph Matar

Senior Civil Engineer

I possess a strong desire to change our surroundings and improve the everyday lives of people.

Growing up in a family where my father is a civil engineer and my uncle an architect, I’ve been exposed to engineering since my childhood; going on sites since I was 6 years old and using CAD since I was 12; so it was destined for me to become a Civil Engineer. After gaining a BEng in Civil Engineering in Lebanon, I moved to UK and completed my MSc in Transport Planning and Engineering in University of Leeds.

Before joining CampbellReith in July 2021, I was employed as a Senior Highways Engineer, leading a team of engineers delivering a variety of highway schemes for both private and public sector clients. I’ve had the opportunity to work for a large number of private residential developers such as Countryside Properties, Redrow, Bellway, Wainhomes, Barratt Homes and Berkley Homes to name just a few a few.

I possess a strong desire to change our surroundings and improve the everyday lives of people. I am also passionate about being involved in projects through each stage from feasibility to design and implementation.
