Tom Marsland

Tom is a Chartered Structural Engineer with over 15 years’ experience in the construction industry.

Since joining CampbellReith in 1999 he has managed a variety of new build and structural refurbishment projects across various sectors.

Tom is currently involved in a multi phased residential regeneration project called Aberfeldy New Village in Tower Hamlets. He has designed blocks six to nine in the £70m Phase 3 stage of the development.

Other interesting jobs Tom is involved in are the iconic Trocadero building at Piccadilly Circus which is undergoing a major structural refurbishment to turn it into a 700 bedroom hotel. Another of his projects, 30-32 Lombard Street in the City of London is a complicated project involving piling through existing basement slabs above a main Thames Water trunk sewer. Victory House just off Leicester Square is a façade retention project transforming the original 1898 building into a modern boutique hotel.

Previously Tom worked for five years in a co-located office for CampbellReith in Aldershot on a MOD project providing structural engineering and below ground drainage design services to Aspire Defence for the 10-year construction works programme to upgrade British Army accommodation and facilities at the Aldershot and Salisbury Plain garrisons.

Outside of work Tom enjoys spending time with his family, going to Rugbytots with his young son, renovating his house and going to the gym when he has free time.
