The Sulgrave Gardens redevelopment is on a 21,500 ft² site south-west of Shepherd’s Bush Common. It consists of two blocks of five-storey flats and two terraces with three-storey houses.
CampbellReith provided structural, civil and environmental services for this project.
The existing buildings on the proposed site were demolished. Each flat was constructed using a reinforced concrete frame with a cladding wrap. The houses were constructed in load-bearing masonry with precast concrete floors. Japanese Knotweed was found on site and removed.
CampbellReith successfully carried out the architect’s proposal of achieving a Passivhaus energy standard by adding high levels of insulation and attaining extremely good airtightness.
