Simon Boots

Simon joined CampbellReith in 2001 and has over 25 years’ experience in the design and supervision of infrastructure projects from small housing estates through to major masterplanning projects.

 

He is a Partner in charge of Civil Engineering and is responsible for teams in London, Surrey, Bristol and Manchester.

 

In the UK, Simon’s projects include a number of major highway schemes where he has been responsible for pre-planning advice, including route selection, public and key stakeholder consultation, EIA and planning applications. He has also taken a number of these schemes from planning through detailed design and into construction. Examples include West Medina Mills, North East Bexhill Gateway Road, Queensway Gateway Road, Stadium Road and North Bexhill Access Road.

 

Overseas, Simon’s experience includes Design Team Project Manager for the new 200 key Hilton Hotel in Sierra Leone and the engineering delivery of six new 120 bed district hospitals across Ghana.

 

Simon has been a Steering Group member on number of CIRIA projects, including Sustainable Drainage for Planners, SUSDRAIN and the updates to The SuDS Manual. He has spoken extensively at a number of regional and national conferences on Sustainable Drainage and Flood Risk.

 

Simon is an active member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and is a Supervising Civil Engineer responsible for the Company Approved Training Scheme.
