The project at North Middlesex Hospital involved the construction of a £26m New Women’s and Children’s block, procured as a P21+ project by the trust.
CampbellReith supported Kier Construction Ltd to deliver this project in line with the Procure21+ principles. The project involved demolition of several 19th century 4 storey load bearing masonry hospital blocks in order to create space for a new build hospital block to be erected in modular construction.
The new building provided 72000 ft² of hospital accommodation over two storeys.
Beyond the new hospital block, CampbellReith’s scope of works involved design of a new relief pond to meet the requirements of the Flood Risk Assessment, design of new car parks in three different areas on the site, design of a generator house building near the new block and ground remediation to clear contamination.
