Kat Barker

Associate

I have 12 years’ experience as a geotechnical engineer. For the first half of my career I was a contractor working predominantly on site in London, collecting and analysing samples. I was involved in many large and prestigious projects, including Crossrail and the Emirates Cable Car, where I supervised a team of engineers on-site.

In 2014, I spent a year in New Zealand helping the rebuild effort in Christchurch after it was devastated by a series of strong earthquakes. On my return to the UK, I continued to develop myself as a geotechnical engineer and consultant before joining the team at CampbellReith.

As a senior geotechnical engineer at the company, I have been involved in projects that range from small basements or extensions to large 500-unit residential schemes, industrial warehouse refurbishments, slope stability analyses and technical due diligence assessments.
