95 Wigmore Street, London

95 Wigmore Street is a £28.3m new office and retail development, occupying a prominent site in the West End, between the thriving restaurants and bars on James Street and yards from Selfridges on Duke Street.

CampbellReith worked alongside Architect ORMS on the design of this high quality new-build development for Great Portland Estates and Scottish Widows.

With an architecturally bold and striking exterior, this eight storey building contains 13,000 ft2 floors: it provides office space, incorporating retail at ground floor and basement levels, with floor-to-ceiling glazing on all sides and terraces on a number of the upper levels.

The scheme also includes the refurbishment of three existing buildings, one of which dates back to the mid-1800s, to provide approximately 18,000 ft² of residential accommodation.

Some of the main features of this projects are:

  • Basement foundation reuse
  • Resolution of complicated party wall condition
  • Economic steelframe solution in limited overall storey height
